This past week at City Hall we had some very honored guests tour the building¸ a group of students from St. Linus grade school. It was delightful to see these children and speak to them about the workings of the clerk’s office and voting procedures. They were a very attentive group and asked some astute questions for grade schoolers. We need to get our young people involved in the governmental process. I will be speaking tomorrow to a group of Crestwood High School seniors about the importance of voting. We as an electorate need to take a real part in our governmental process. Far too often people don’t go to the polls and vote, please be involved in the upcoming election. Study the candidates, the backgrounds, the resumes, then you will get a true barometer of who you are electing. Don’t listen to rumors or innuendos, talk to the candidates. Have you ever seen a candidate not willing to talk? I look forward to talking to you.
I hope to keep you up-to-date on my campaign, but most importantly on what is happening in the Clerk's Office under my leadership and with my dedicated team.
